Hello!
Today I just wanna simply share my batch file which contains images of Fairy Tail Manga from MangaPanda.com and tell how do I make this batch file. Well, it's not I do it intentionally for sharing. But I just feel like it maybe useful for other peoples.
But, first I make clear something here. I make this post for people who :
- Don't like reading online manga.
- Want to download it for later read.
- Using IDM for download.
- Want to know my method of doing this.
Okay, I'll start here.
From the beginning, I wanna download Fairy Tail manga per chapter. But it was difficult to find a site which share an archive file (.zip/.rar) which is contains images from it's chapter. And I'm not very comfortable reading online from their site. To be honest, my internet connection is always slow. So I just wanna save it to my computer and read it whenever I want (because not every day I have this internet connection though).
So, I came with an idea. But, wait! First, I wanna tell something. I save this manga from mangapanda.com. So from now on, if I say "site" it means "mangapanda.com". I won't explain it again later.
Usually we save one by one picture from the site. Right click the image, save image, and place it to your drive. Then we go to the next page and do the same. Well, basically this method is the same. But I just disabling "images" and "java script" from my Google Chrome setting preference. So it's disabling my browser from loading images and java scripts from the site. And of course it takes no time to load a page. So I could fastly save the image to my drive. "But, wait! There's not even a single images loaded there, isnt't it?". Right! But I just right-click-ed on the box where the image usually shown. "Oh, then you save it?". No, I just copied the image URL and paste it to notepad. And I did the same thing for the next page and so until the last image of the chapter. After I have all the image links for a full one chapter, I copy all that link text and open my IDM. I open the the "Task" button on toolbars and choose "Add batch download from clipboard". A window will appear and you'll see all the links have shown there and ready to download. You just have to set the path of where you'll be save these files. And put it into your queue list so that you can download it continuesly the dile one by one. And if you ready, just click the "Check All" button and click "OK". Then your download links will appear on the IDM main download. So the last you have to do is just start you download queue and wait until your files downloaded.
Well, that's my method of doing a simple IDM batch download. So, I'll give you my batch files which is contain my previous downloaded image links. But first, I'll tell you how to do it.
How to import this batch file to my IDM?
The batch file I gave was a text file and just contains a direct image links. So after you've got the text file, you just have to import it to you IDM.
- Open your IDM.
- Click the "Task" onthe task bar.
- Choose "Import" and then "From text file".
- Browse and select the text file.
If you want to make a download queue (continuesly) files, you can move it to a queue download.
- Select the files that you want to move to queue is.
- Right-click it
- Choose "Move to queue", "Create new queue".
- Type a name for that queue, and click "OK".
- A window will appear.
- Now you can see the files in the queue.
- Set how many downloads will running at the same time. (Usually I used just 1).
- And click "Apply" and "Start now".
- Your download queue is already running.
Well, thats all for me today. This maybe a usual method, and you've already know about it but I just wanna share one or two things that I've know. So that I can share knowledge to other peoples out there. I'm sorry for my bad english. I'm still learning though.
